Si con un abrir y cerrar de ojos
se fuera todo,
olor, vejez
sensaciones repletas
de emociones vacías
Si con el tornar la cabeza
hacia la nada
se fugaran del contorno
la existencia
de tristezas acumuladas
por la vida.
Si todo fuera luz de estrellas,
luna llena,
noches repletas
de luciérnagas
atisbando las sombras
de lo incierto.
SEQUÊNCIAS
Se, num abrir e fechar de olhos,
tudo se fosse —
o cheiro, a velhice,
sensações repletas
de emoções vazias.
Se, ao virar a cabeça
em direção ao nada,
escapassem do contorno
a existência
e as tristezas acumuladas
ao longo da vida.
Se tudo fosse luz de estrelas,
lua cheia,
noites repletas
de vaga-lumes
espreitando as sombras
do incerto.

If, with the blink of an eye,
everything were to vanish—
scents, old age,
sensations filled
with empty emotions.
If, by turning one’s head
toward the void,
all existence
of the anguish gathered
throughout a lifetime—
were to slip beyond the horizon.
If everything were starlight,
a full moon,
nights filled
with fireflies
gazing into the shadows
of the unknown
