Insensitiveness
I see so much sorrow,
I see so much pain.
No hope for tomorrow,
For love is restrained.
Forgotten and perishing
In depths of despair.
What is left to cherish?
No one seems to care.
The hatred through ages
Destroyed human hearts.
Man follows the pages
Of history’s dark paths.
How short is our time;
One day we’ll regret
Losing our minds
And living in hate.

- Comentario del autor sobre el poema: Insensitiveness is a reflective poem about the emotional numbness growing within humanity. Through themes of sorrow, hatred, despair, and the repetition of history’s mistakes, the poem questions how love has become restrained and compassion forgotten. It is a reminder of how brief life truly is, and how one day humanity may regret living in division and hate instead of understanding and kindness.
