There are days
when I smile
like everything is fine,
and no one notices
that the smile
is just a poorly placed bandage
over something bleeding.
I talk, I answer, I keep going…
I do what’s expected of me,
as if being strong
was an obligation
and not a weight.
No one sees
the tiredness that never sleeps,
the sadness that never cries,
the words I keep inside
so I don’t make anyone uncomfortable.
Because yes…
I’m tired of being the one who handles everything,
the one who understands,
the one who is always there.
But…
who is there when I can’t be?
The world keeps moving,
like nothing happened,
while I learn
how to fall in silence.
And the saddest part isn’t falling…
it’s realizing
no one was watching.

Except God, for He is always watching us ...
beautiful poem
Thank you kindly for your words. Perhaps in the deepest silence, when the world looks away, God is the only witness to the pain we carry and the truths we hide inside poetry. 🖤
👍
It's hard to be the happy friend and having to help people while they don't help, having to put up with things a person should, and having to put on that mascare every day so people don't hate you. Thanks for representing it, really, thanks
Thank you for understanding my words so deeply. Sometimes the ones who smile the most are the ones who carry the most in silence. We often become “the strong ones” because we feel we have no other choice.
You deserve kindness too, not only giving it to others. 🖤
Yes, sometimes it\'s ok to not be okay, we deserve it. A big hug, I really apreciate your words.
