HAPPINESS
There is nothing
of such brief measure
as happiness itself.
In the blink of an eye,
its beauty fades away,
like nothing on sight.
It appears unexpectedly,
surrounded by laughter,
only wishing to prevail.
Its longing to remain
means no harm
when it comes to an end.

Recibe mi más sincera felicitación por este poema tan delicado y honesto. Has logrado capturar la esencia misma de la felicidad: su brevedad, su fulgor repentino y su inevitable despedida, todo ello con una voz limpia y serena.
“There is nothing of such brief measure as happiness itself” abre el poema con una verdad universal dicha sin estridencias, casi como quien comparte un secreto antiguo. Y esa imagen del “blink of an eye” sostiene con precisión la sensación de lo efímero, sin dramatismo, pero con profundidad.
