My cry is my song,
my song is my prayer,
whenever I find that
life’s moments
too heavy to bear.

The tears purify
my weary, sad soul;
its roughness
made radiant,
as diamonds and gold.

Neither fear
nor despair
can lead me away;
that I wouldn’t sing
my crying as prayer.
