Antes de ver
mi corazón sufrir
prefiero partir
con el alma embelesada,
y en mi piel acuñar
tu sonrisa angelical.

Luego, déjame saber
que eres feliz
en otros brazos,
que fueron pocos
mis abrazos,
que mis besos
de niño aprendiz,
no endulzaron los tuyos;
que no fueron confesos
entre gemidos y sofocos.

Luego… déjame saber
que eres feliz.

Before seeing
my heart suffer
I prefer to leave
with the enthralled soul,
and in my skin wedge
your angelic smile

Then, let me know
that you are happy
in other arms,
that were few
my hugs,
that my kisses
as a child learner,
they did not sweeten yours;
that they were not confessed
between moans and hot flashes.

Then ... let me know
that you are happy
