Yesterday, or a year

Danniello

it's been a year since we met

three hundred sixty five days,

that day we were strangers, like today

since that day, we had never argue

we never had a fight, but,

each one we have scars.

All has been laughs and some tears

but all in masks...

That day when we first saw each other

we didn't talk, we didn't watch in detail

then we were only classmates

You laughed one of my jokes,

i merely thought the nice you looked.

Several days passed, and we grow as something...

we grow insanely, fast and as one

you may say no, but we were something,

something special...

i tought it was love, you were telling me that

"i'm falling, on a crush" that were your eyes screaming;

but you voice was like: "i got a boyfriend, and isn't you".

We kissed everyday, sometimes intense,

sometimes no, we were happy, sometimes the two of us

sometimes only you, only me.

A year has passed since then

we're strangers again,

a weird thing you call "friends"

All those poems, that candy, the flowers

gifts, words, time, smiles we spent.

only memories, whom kept "us" on our minds.

At the end we're strangers

you're a movie inside my head

a movie called: "how i met me and other short stories".

At the end we're strangers

i'm a cane, a rod, a staff...

the tool you needed to get older, to walk.

At the end we're strangers again

as the same day we met.

as the time we're born.

Es el primero que leo en inglés. Me gustó la rima de los primeros versos.
Me gusta la forma en que describes como te sientes con esa "amistad", un par de extraños.
