IN JAPAN
I can travel without leaving my armchair,
to distant Japan, in the gentle art of dreaming.
In my dreams, nothing is beyond reach;
I can wander through the stories of Japan.
Among charming Japanese cats and dogs,
among excursions and exquisite meals,
I immerse myself in the lives of others.
Those distant people who somehow feel close,
who become part of our lives,
whom we come to make our own.
In that human Japan,
in the quiet delicacy
of their lives.
In the fascinating East,
where everything fills me with wonder,
in that place where I can look beyond myself,
where I can walk through lives unfolding,
through their day-to-day stories from my window,
on that computer that carries me without travel,
through the secret world of a distant land,
where I can read between the lines
those authentic lives,
of that Japan
I have made my own.

EN JAPÓN
Puedo viajar sin moverme de mi sillón,
al Japón lejano, en la delicadeza de soñar.
En mis sueños no hay nada inalcanzable,
puedo moverme por las historias de Japón.
Entre adorables gatos y perros japoneses,
entre excursiones y comidas exquisitas,
me sumerjo en la vida de los otros.
Esos seres lejanos que son cercanos,
que son parte de nuestra vida,
que los hacemos nuestros.
En ese Japón humano,
en la delicadeza
de sus vidas.
En el fascinante Oriente,
donde todo me asombra,
en ese lugar donde asomarme,
donde recorrer las vidas desplegadas,
de sus relatos día a día, desde mi ventana,
en ese ordenador que me transporta sin viajar,
por el mundo secreto de un lugar lejano,
donde puedo leer entre líneas,
esas vidas verdaderas,
de ese Japón,
propio.
