Rowing
I am on a boat,
Ahead of it,
Putting my chest to the air,
Receiving the rain,
Rowing.
I am getting tired,
I feel like we need to change positions,
I am getting tired of protecting you,
I am getting tired of rowing,
My sore arms ache.
The fact that I have to focus on the route makes it more exhausting,
I steer, I navigate, I do,
I just want to rest,
To find someone willing to be a shield,
I have been by myself long enough,
Rowing hurts now,
I am fatigued,
I want to stop.
